Episode 06 -- 2009 Platty Award Winners

What a crazy episode, this time with a 3rd host! In Episode 06 we announce the winners of the 2009 Platty Awards, a meth lab explodes and we 'educate' our friend on DiRT 2's Two Cups One Girl trophy.

2009 Platty Awards -- Voting Begins

After weeks of collecting nominations the first annual 2009 Platty Awards are now open for your votes.

Spanning 17 categories from the hardest platinums to worst trophy lists 2008/09 has been not only a great beginning for the PS3 trophy system but a fantastic year for gamers in general. The response has been great, and we look forward to the results!

Episode 05 -- Guest Appearance

Hey guys,

Another episode released! Episode 05 has our first community interview featuring Fusion, part of the PS3Trophies.com guide team. We apologize for the low audio quality of the interview, part of the delay of episode 05 was to clean up the audio. Luckily we've isolated the issue, and it appears to be software related--so it won't happen next interview. Either way, hopefully you'll all enjoy the show, it was a lot of fun.

This week we talk about Modern Warfare 2, 3D Dot Game Hero, K GUY'd Valve, polygon boobs and more!

We also announced our first annual 2009 'Platty' awards. We'll be releasing the categories soon and want your nominations! Check the PS3Trophies.com forums for more information soon.

Calling on the trophy community: Guest appearances

NOTE: For those from PS3Trophies.com; if you've already replied through the forums please disregard, this is a repost of that thread.

Hey guys,

Episode 04 is out, and based on listener feedback we're starting a new guest segment on Plat Chat. Our aim is to interview gamers from the trophy community, talk about your platinums, favorite trophies, what you're working on--whatever. It'll be a new segment on the show and we're asking for some volunteers!

Basically, you'll be provided with a list of questions ahead of time just so you're prepared; then we'll record the interview whenever it's convenient for everyone (ala it won't be live). We don't want to get too personal, this will just be about your trophies and the games you enjoy. We won't use any real names and you don't need to share your PSN ID. The conversation is wide open (game-talk anyway), where ever the interview takes us is fine; this is about you!

We've already gotten some interest. If you've previously volunteered before, please do it again. This is open to anyone. You have 1 platinum or 30, you're aged 13 or 60, trophy whore or hunter--who cares, we're interested! This is also open to any site/forum staff as well (in fact encouraged), so let us know. There are a lot of ways to get a hold of us, through our blog, email or PS3Trophies.com forums--doesn't matter.

Episode 05 won't air for at least two weeks, plenty of time to get this rolling. We plan to use Skype (or Ventrilo) for computer-to-computer voice chat, but we'll fill you in with that info once chosen. We'd like to do this every episode so even if you're not chosen for episode 05 rest assured you will almost certainly be chosen for a later episode. This will help us create a list of guests.

After a two week hiatus episode 03 is now live. In this episode our featured topic discusses trophy whores using terribly crude but awfully accurate analogies, why LucasArts are greedy yet awesome at the same time, a community shoutout and the fan-favorite 'Kay Guy' moment of the week!
